The day after the tragedy of 9/11 I heard a New Yorker say, “It’s like there’s a hole up in the sky.” I wrote this song not long after. All across America those of us who watched the horrific videos of those sad days have images of the event we’ll carry with us for as long as memory lasts. My ‘art song’ features a few of my memories and, in my small way,  commemorates the victims of 9/11 on its 19th anniversary.
